Why are hospitals always so dark and vacant in scary movies? Well two of the biggest horror franchises sure used this to their advantage in the films within this month’s winning theme.
“Halloween II” (1981) is a continuation of John Carpenter’s horror classic, with Laurie Strode being rushed to Haddonfield Memorial Hospital. Unfortunately, Michael Myers is still up for some trick-or-treating (and by “trick-or-treating,” we mean killing off unsuspecting doctors and nurses). “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors” brings Nancy Thompson back as an intern at Westin Hills Psychiatric Hospital, where the last remaining Elm Street kids are dropping like flies at the hands of Freddy Krueger. Code blue!
